The Five Years On Postcard Project
I kept a list of all the postcards I sent during all the lockdowns.
Five years on, I will revisit that list, and once a week
(life is so much faster now)
send out a card to someone on the list, and see what happens.

A card sent to Brighton and Hove
over the weekend of VE day celebrations,
where 5 years ago I took a tea tray to sit alone on the green
just to feel part of something rather than hidden away.
Several other peope quite spontaneously, but keeping
their distance, joined me.
To person this card is addressed to -
it was special to reconnect
and create an online dance performance
in rememberance of a dancer tragically
lost when working as a doctor helping women in the
mountains of Afghanistan. An event that brought
so many of us together, reconnected through lockdown.

Odd Godmother to a feisty, independent young girl,
who is now becoming a young woman...
her mother an amazing woman navigating the
adoptee/adopted journey :)
