Figures in Extinction [1.0]

 humbled by, and thankful for,
the existence of such creative human beings

A day book-ended by the matter of extinction; one an encounter with 2 ladies members of the non-violent protest group Extinction Rebellion, the other a dance work by Crystal Pite and Simon McBurneyThe two ladies were on their way to join 'The Big One' protests, the first stop the department for leveling up. 'Figures in Extinction [1.0]'was the dance work being performed by NDT at the Sadlers Wells Theatre.

My encounter with the ladies of the tube was brief and convivial.
My planned visit to the theatre one of significance, whereby I struggle to assemble words which might capture the experience...

'synchronous visceral,
intellectual,
emotion
response processing which,
in a nano-second,
ffects heightened awareness of
clarity, meaning, purpose, intention...
 in essence a
a light bulb moment'

...the best I can manage
add in here the impact of the visual
the human body
two pieces leading up to this final piece

pushing the boundaries of physical expression
first  - bodies almost devoid of bones
second - familiar signature characteristics
boundaries

and the message
